James and his team are fantastic! Very professional in every regard. I loved their automated estimate process, and the way they classify potential repairs as (and this is my description, not theirs!) "you've got to get this done, it's a safety issue", "you should get this done while your car is in the shop, but it's not a safety issue right now", or "it's a good idea to get this done while your car is in the shop, but it can wait". And each potential repair had a photo and a clear description. EASILY the best system I've seen in 45 years of getting cars serviced! I absolutely recommend Oakmont!

Took my car to the shell on San Carlos and they nearly killed my engine. James & his team identified all the poor work, fixed it all at a good price, and the car’s been running great since.

James and Colin are geniuses. The quality of their work at Oakmont Auto Care is beyond what I've received at any shop thus far. The level of detail and thoroughness they hold to in their work is truly an example of what professionalism should be defined by. They care about the customer. They care about the quality and standard of work they perform. The automotive repair industry can sometimes feel like a quagmire of unpleasant compromises and half-measures, but that will never be your experience at Oakmont. After you receive service from them, you will wonder why all other auto services do not hold to this level of service and quality, and why it took you so long to find them. I am delighted to be able to write them a review, based on how refreshingly thoughtful and competent their service has been. I recommend all automotive issues be taken to them whenever possible.

James and team were great. I would highly recommend them. They identified and resolved all my issues for a good price. He was very accommodating, drove me home when I dropped off my car, and when the car was ready to be picked up I was super busy with kids and dinner so he offered to let me pay online and he would drop car off at my home. Great guy.

I’ve used James and Oakmont Auto Repair for multiple cars and issues including check engine lights ( not even Jaguar could puzzle out that one) as well as oil and lube, inspections for potential future problems , and other services. James is a consummate professional - honest, tells you straight, and personable. His staff are just as dependable and I know when I leave my car , I’m getting value and my car will be ready when promised. I’m so relieved to have found this business.
